We Listened and We Acted

We took a series of polls in 2013 (remember the beans?) to determine what market changes our customers wanted. We were listening. Here are a few of those changes:

New sponsorship: beginning 2014, the market will be sponsored by the City of Roswell’s award-winning Recreation and Parks Department.

New name: previously known as the Riverside Farmers Market, we are now the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market (RFAM)

New location: we are still behind Roswell City Hall at 38 Hill Street, but have shifted our market avenue to the adjacent, shaded parking lot. This will make shopping much more pleasant in mid-summer.

Expanded dates: for 2014, the market will be open May 3 through September 27, rain or shine.

Unfavorable weather made bringing fruits and vegetables in April and May difficult in 2013. This is an additional six weeks of fresh food!

New opportunities: vendors, products, educational programs and volunteer/internships.

New connectivity: management will be much more active in connecting with the local food community through web and social media, speaking engagement and community involvement.

What hasn’t changed: we are still the same family of supporters passionate about fresh, local foods. Come see us this spring and summer, renew acquaintances, and make new friends.
