Smooth Transition Set for New Market Manager
Chef Woody Back, President of the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market Association, is delighted to announce Tricia Nitti as Market Manager for 2015. She is taking the position left vacant by former volunteer Market Manager, Michael McLane. Michael will remain on the Board as Director of Marketing. Customers and vendors alike, will recognize Ms. Nitti as a weekly representative at her son’s booth, Sasha’s Spice Mill.
Ms. Nitti comes to the Roswell market after managing the highly successful River Church Farmers Market for three years. Ms. Nitti is recognized throughout Cherokee County for her efforts to form alliances between the River Church Market and many community, business and educational organizations with the goal of improving the overall health of the community.
One cornerstone of this outreach it the Power of Produce Club (POP). The POP Club is focused primarily on the nutritional habits of children between the ages of 5 and 12. The program is designed to teach children about healthy eating habits through incentives and weekly activities.
Ms. Nitti has worked hard in Cherokee to develop sponsorships for these outreach programs and to develop
a cooperative relationship with other market managers in the area. She will be a great asset to the Roswell local food movement.
