15th Annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival
The 15th Annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival at the Chattahoochee Nature Center celebrates butterflies. Saturday, June 6 from 10am – 3pm and Sunday, June 7 from 12pm – 5pm. Festival showcases:

The 15th Annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival is a wild extravaganza focused on the beauty of butterflies at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell premier nature oasis. Banners of butterflies decorate the grounds as the air fills with butterflies set free during the releases! Butterflies attract us with their ethereal flitting, here then gone. Join us to experience this rare and magical wild enchantment on Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, 2015. Witness nature’s pollinators and enjoy a magnificent show featuring live butterfly releases, face painting, crafts, live musical interludes, children’s costume parade, festival food and fun in the native butterfly gardens.
The “Butterfly Encounter” tented exhibit allows visitors to hand-feed free flying butterflies. Get nose to proboscis with free flying native butterfly species. Our experts will be on hand to give you advice to attract pollinators to your own garden. Pollinator and host plants native to Georgia will be on sale. Bring your camera to capture these fantastic, fluttering creatures up close as these illusive insects land on people and flowers. Kids can wear their butterfly costumes and march in the butterfly parades too.
ADMISSION IS $12 VISITORS AT ENTRANCE, $8 FOR CNC MEMBERS ONLY-WHO CAN PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE. FREE FOR CHILDREN 2 AND UNDER. Please carpool, a free shuttle bus service is provided for your convenience and additional parking is available at the St. Francis School on Willeo Road just south of 120.
